Description
Phoneme Substitution is one if the phonemic awareness skill. It can be developed by deleting a sound from a word and changing it with a new sound to make new word!
This material has two files;
1. 20 Ending Sound Cards with word clue
2. 20 Ending Sound Cards without word clue
Two ways we can play this –
1. Orally- Use the cards to read the words to the child. Ask them what sound changed in the word: beginning, middle or ending sound?
2. Hands-On Approach: First, allow students to build the first word of first picture and then manipulate the sounds they change to make new word using movable alphabets.
